Indoor games are promoted at Parijat Urja Chakra to ensure children get to understand the diversified sports culture, giving them an alternative to choose at what they are best at. Inter School Chess Tournaments are held every year wherein more than 6 schools participates in the tournament.

YEAR (2023-24)

Parijat Urja Chakra successfully organized a chess competition on 1st August 2024, in Fatehgarh, with participation from five schools: GSSS Fatehgarh, GSSS Dhanana, GSSS Jatwar, GSSS Shahzadpur, GSSS Raiwali, and our PUC. The event saw a gathering of approximately 60-70 people, including staff and participants.

The competition featured both junior and senior categories, with children from ages 8 to 12 in the junior group and ages 13 to 18 in the senior group. The primary objective was to cultivate a spirit of sportsmanship among the children and provide them with a platform to showcase their talents. Games like chess and carrom are instrumental in enhancing concentration, improving problem-solving skills, and strengthening decision-making abilities.

YEAR (2022-23)

Inter School Chess Competition was conducted by Anand Foundation at Ambala, Haryana on 10th September 2022. The event saw the participation of more than 40 students from the Government Schools of Jatwar, Khanpur, Fatehgarh, Ningania Vidya Mandir and Parijat Urja Chakra.

Students of Parijat Urja Chakra came out winners in both the Junior and Senior Category of Chess Competition.

Fatehgarh Senior Secondary School claimed second place in the category in Chess Competition.

YEAR (2020 - 2021)

Inter School Chess Competition was conducted by Anand Foundation at Ambala, Haryana on 19th March 2021. The event saw the participation of more than 30 students from the Government Schools of Jatwar, Khanpur, and Toda, and Parijat Urja Chakra.

During this pandemic, the event has been carefully planned, strictly following the Covid-19 SOP guidelines, specially developed by Parijat to be followed at the event. The guidelines are maintaining social distancing, use of hand sanitizer, compulsory wearing of mask for all, and gloves for the participants. The temperature was also checked for all people before entering the venue. Reusable Washable Cloth Mask stitched at PUC centre was also distributed.

Students of Parijat Urja Chakra came out winners in both the Junior and Senior Category of Chess Competition.

Jatwar School claimed second place in both the category in Chess Competition.

Students from Khanpur School were placed third prize in Chess competition.
